Relax and let Ganesh help!

The Indian God who is the Remover of Obstacles is a handy guy to lean on. This reclining version is one of my favorites because he reminds me that the fastest way to get anything done is to slow down and enjoy the process.

Some recent logos

Here are a few recent logos I've designed for a few of my graphic design clients. I've added a link to the client's website when available.

The Octaband logo is for an ingenious invention by Donna Bluestein who does dance and movement therapy with the elderly, especially with those suffering from dementia. You can learn more about her leading edge work with this population on her website www.octaband.com.

Bikram Yoga for You is located in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. A very loyal following of yoga practitioners sweat out toxins and reverse the aging process in the hot room while giving their internal organs and all the systems of the body a thorough workout. Check out their website for classes, and more information on the practice: bikramyogaforyou.com

This is a logo I designed for the Episcopalian Chaplaincy at Harvard. It merges the two symbols of the Harvard shield and the symbolism for the Episcopal Church.

For the Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard I used the shape of the Harvard shield
once again but this time added a flame which was an element from the chaplaincy's earlier logo. In both cases, you can see the presence of Harvard and at the same time the individual nature of each separate chaplaincy. In all, Havard has an all volunteer force of over 38 chaplains representing all the major religions of the world including the non religious.

Design Basics:
Out of chaos find some order. You must realize, though, it's only a semblance of order, but it will make you feel better. Start small: clear off one surface today to get your first hit of Surface Serenity. Set the timer for 15 minutes and go! Let me know what happened.
